So often its handy to have a shortcut to your favourite website on your desktop, and time and time again you forget the sequence of steps to creating shortcuts to websites or adding bookmarks to the top bar in your browser, well here’s how to do it:
- Click and hold on the little icon just to the left of the web address in the website address bar as seen in the images below:
Firefox:

- While holding the mouse button down, drag the icon to the desktop ? It’s as simple as that!
– If your web browser is in full screen mode, simply make it a bit smaller and then try the steps above again
– If you would like to make a shortcut to your favourite website on the address bar in your web browser, just drag the icon there instead of to the desktop ?
