From time to time Mac OS X might not pick up shares on the local network, in which case it would be good to mount the share as a network drive.
Open finder, and press CMD+k to bring up the "Connect To Server" dialog

smb://NETWORK-SHARE-NAME
or
smb://NETWORK-SHARE-IP-ADDRESS
