Inkscape is an open-source vector graphics editor. It is multi-platform and is free to download on Ubuntu 16.04.
To get started, open your terminal with:
Ctrl+Alt+T
Then run the following commands one line after the other:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:inkscape.dev/stable
sudo apt update
sudo apt install inkscape
